— Butler defeated Pine-Richland 74-71 in overtime Saturday. Devin Carney had a career high 47 points to lead the Golden Tornado. Mattix Clement added 16 points and reached the 1,000 career point mark in the game.
–Highlands defeated Mars 65-52.
–Armstrong defeated Freeport 68-33.
–Grove City had 10 different players score Saturday when they defeated Slippery Rock 62-29.
Girls Basketball Saturday:
–Moniteau defeated Cranberry 55-19. Aslyn Pry led Moniteau with 16 points and 14 rebounds.
-Armstrong topped Mars 43-41.
–Freeport defeated Kiski Area 51-40.
Boys Basketball Sunday:
–North Catholic defeated Springdale 75-43.
–North Allegheny defeated Allderdice 70-55.

Butler high school wrestlers Cooper Baxter and Jake Pomykata won individual WPIAL section championships Saturday. Seneca Valley’s Tyler Chappell, Dylan Chappell and Alejandro Herrera-Rondon, along with Keith Brubach of Mars also won section titles.
