There were 102 new cases of COVID-19 and one additional death for Butler County over the weekend.
That now brings the death toll to 390 according to the state Department of Health.
Local hospitalizations are also on the rise; as of Friday morning Butler Memorial Hospital was treating 23 patients for the coronavirus, with three COVID patients in the ICU. That’s the most patients since early February.
Our local rise coincides with more patients hospitalized across the state. There are now more than 2,400 people in the hospital being treated for COVID in Pennsylvania.
There were over 8,000 new cases and 43 additional deaths statewide this weekend.
