Thanks to a revision in data, West Sunbury will now be eligible for state funding to help with new sewer equipment.
County officials say West Sunbury Borough is now qualified for Community Development Block Grants.
With their new eligibility, over $30,000 was approved to help purchase a new tractor to help with their sewer plant. There will also be funding used toward purchasing a larger pump and other equipment.
Residents of the borough told county leaders they were hopeful for the change so they could receive the funding.
