The National Football Foundation announced the new inductees into the College Football Hall of Fame this week. They include western Pennsylvania native LaVar Arrington, the North Hills graduate who went on to a stand-out career at Penn State. Arrington won the Butkus and Bednarik Awards in 1999. Among the other players are Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck, Georgia cornerback Champ Bailey, who was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2019. Late Heisman Trophy winning running back Rashaan Salaam of Colorado is also part of the 21-player class.
