We’re just a few days away from Thanksgiving, which means it’s about time to start defrosting your turkey.
There’s a variety of defrosting times recommended by the USDA. They say if you have a four pound turkey, you can take it out of the freezer the day before.
But, if your turkey is around 20 pounds—well, it actually should be defrosting already.
However, if you have procrastinated, you can defrost that big bird by soaking it in cold water for 12 hours.
And as soon as a turkey is defrosted, the USDA says it should be cooked immediately.
