William F. “Bill” Broman, Jr., 73, of Butler, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
Born October 14, 1950, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of Marlene (Grimes) Broman and the late William F. Broman, Sr.
Bill was a graduate of Knoch High School, and went on to attend Grand Rapids Bible College and then Slippery Rock University where he earned his Bachelor of Education. He worked and retired from Bechtel Plant Machinery in Monroeville, PA. Bill attended Community Alliance Church in Butler and also belonged to the Sunset Golf League. He enjoyed golfing and family vacations to North Myrtle Beach. Most of all, Bill loved his family, and adored spending his time with them and going to all his grandkids events and activities.
Bill is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ellen (Dean) Broman, whom he married on January 10, 1970, his two sons, Bill (Amy) Broman and Chad (Francine) Broman; his daughter, Stacey (Sean) Curran; four grandchildren, Jake (Carissa), Emma, Tanner and Daisy; two step-grandchildren, Julianna and Valerie; his mother, Marlene Broman; his sister, Jill (Bob) Cavalero; his brother, Brad (Marcia) Broman and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Jay Broman.
Family and friends will be received on Monday, October, 14, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 E. North St., Butler, PA 16001.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Dave Maitland of First Baptist Church, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bill’s name may be made to the Family Life Center at First Baptist Church, 221 W. New Castle St., Butler, PA 16001.
