With warmer temps in front of us this week, hopefully the snow has come to an end for the season.
After receiving a little less than an inch at the end of last week, the official winter snow total for the Pittsburgh region was 56.1 inches.
In fact, the Thursday night snow surpassed all of the snow we received in March.
“We had a tenth of an inch of snow in March,” Myranda Fullerton of the National Weather Service said. “So we got away with missing out on seven inches of snow in March,” which is the average amount.
The overall snow total is a top 25 on record—and the most we’ve received since 2018.
