Governor Tom Wolf led a rally outside of the State Capitol yesterday advocating for new laws aimed at curtailing gun violence.
Wolf outlined four different legislative priorities that he would like to see passed.
“They are creating an extreme risk protection order. The second, requiring the reporting of lost or stolen guns. The third, improving safe storage requirements to reduce shootings by children and other vulnerable people. And finally, by closing loopholes in Pennsylvania’s background check system,” Wolf said.
However, the chance for these laws to pass in a divided government seems small.
Wolf just recently vetoed a bill supported by Republicans that would have allowed people to carry a concealed firearm without a permit.
