Restaurants will soon be allowed to increase indoor capacity to 50 percent, Governor Tom Wolf announced.
The new rule will go into effect September 21st, but Wolf says restaurants must strictly comply with the new guidelines.
Alcohol sales will close at 10 p.m. and restaurants will need to fill out a self-certification form that will then be available to the public via an online database.
“While our aggressive and appropriate mitigation efforts have kept case counts low, we must continue to take important steps to protect public health and safety as we head into the fall,” Wolf said in a statement. “At the same time, we must also support the retail food services industry that has struggled throughout this pandemic.”
