Governor Tom Wolf has vetoed a bill that would have permitted people to openly carry a firearm without having a permit.
Wolf called the bill “dangerous” and said it wouldn’t help curb gun violence in Pennsylvania.
The veto was expected from the Democratic governor, after the bill passed through the Republican legislature. And that’s just the latest in the ongoing battle between the two branches of government.
Wolf has now vetoed 52 bills over his two-terms. That’s the most since Milton Shapp was governor in the late 1970s.
