A New Castle woman has been indicted on charges of violating federal narcotics laws.
U.S. Department of Justice officials say 46-year-old Deia Eggleston conspired to distribute drugs such as fentanyl, crack cocaine, and heroin beginning in 2017 and continuing until May of 2019.
According to authorities, their investigation also revealed that Eggleston used her Bleakley Avenue residence to manufacture, store, and distribute those controlled substances.
She faces up to life in prison, a possible fine of $35 million, or both. Aiding federal law enforcement in this investigation were officers with the Lawrence County Drug Task Force and the New Castle Police Department.
