A Wexford woman is facing charges after she was accused of having a blood alcohol almost three times over the legal limit while driving with a child in her vehicle.
In late June, a police officer noticed a vehicle veering over the center line and fluctuating speeds on Route 422 in Franklin Township.
When police pulled the vehicle over, they identified the driver as 39-year-old Tara Kern. In her vehicle was another man and a 7-year-old child.
Kern showed signs of impairment and was found with a blood alcohol level of .221.
She was charged with endangering the welfare of children and a DUI. She’s awaiting a preliminary hearing.
