A woman is facing charges for lying to police about her identity following an accident in Butler.
Police say 27-year-old Mackenzie Sherman of Elkland was involved in a hit and run crash at the Greater Butler Mart.
The incident happened Monday afternoon around 3:40 p.m. Police say they responded to the scene and questioned Sherman about the accident.
She allegedly provided a false identification to police. Sherman was also charged with driving without a license and hitting an unattended vehicle.
She was placed in the Butler County Jail and is awaiting a preliminary hearing.
