A woman from Cabot is out thousands of dollars after falling victim to an online scam.
Police say the incident happened from August through December when the woman thought she was involved in an online relationship with a man.
Police say that during that time, the woman willingly sent $12,000 to the scammer in cryptocurrency.
Police did not release any details about a possible suspect.
