A woman is out thousands of dollars after a scam from an out-of-state resident.
State police say they were called to the home of an 84-year-old Cabot woman last Friday night. She told police that she sent two money orders worth $5,000 to an unknown person from Wisconsin.
No further details of the scam were released by police. They are investigating.
