A local resident has lost several thousand dollars in a scam that occurred last week in neighboring Mercer County.
According to the Pennsylvania State Police, a 73-year-old Grove City woman was contacted by phone on Friday (March 19th) by at least one unknown person claiming to be affiliated with “Norton Anti Virus.”
Authorities say that the victim then purchased several gift cards from Walmart totaling $4,200 and provided information from the cards to the suspect.
