Construction crews are taking advantage of nice weather to make progress on two projects at the Butler Senior High School.
The Butler Area School District Board of Directors heard an update Monday night from the district’s construction manager on the Auxiliary Gym project as well as the classroom expansion project.
Recent work on the gym addition has included the majority of the roof in place and all masonry walls up with more steel expected to be delivered Wednesday. Workers are finishing up the foundation on the classroom addition as well as preparing water and electrical connections while waiting on steel.
The auxiliary gym project is scheduled to be completed in mid-August before school starts but work on the classroom addition is expected to continue into the fall.
