A Butler native is in France to not only attend the iconic Cannes Film Festival but have a movie she directed be in it.
Celine Held co-directed and co-wrote the short film “Caroline” with her husband Logan George. The film is the only American entry among the eight eligible for the highest prize at the Cannes Film Festival.
It’s a 12-minute film based on three true stories of mothers whose children were taken from them while they were trying to make ends meet.
Held now lives in Brooklyn, New York and works as both an actress and filmmaker. She previously attended school at Knoch, before majoring in drama at NYU.
