Local residents are invited to join the South Butler County School District to help neighbors in need.
At their Wednesday night meeting, the South Butler School Board heard more about the WPIAL Food and Fund Drive Challenge to support the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank.
The WPIAL has set a goal of raising $50,000 to provide up to 250,000 meals to Western Pennsylvania families, children, and seniors. As part of the challenge, schools are competing to see who can provide the most meals.
Monetary donations can be made through October 25th on the Pittsburgh Food Bank website. South Butler is also collecting food items in the athletic office as well as at home athletic events. A list of most needed items is available though the district’s athletic department.
