Youth ages 12 to 16 who hold a Junior Hunting license are invited to apply for a chance to participate in a special turkey hunt later this month.
The special turkey hunt for youth will be held on Saturday, April 24th at the Pymatuning Wildlife Management Area. All participants in the youth hunt must be accompanied by an adult mentor.
An individual turkey hunting zone will be made available to each of the seven randomly selected winners of a permit. A mandatory training and orientation session for each winner will take place on Saturday, April 17th.
This date has been chosen to coincide with Youth Day for Spring Gobbler Hunting in Pennsylvania. Those interested in being considered for this opportunity should apply through the Game Commission’s website by this Wednesday, April 7th.
