Yva L. Schoerner, 95, of Butler, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 4, 2021 with her sons at her side at Concordia at Cabot.
She was born July 16, 1925 in Export, PA, the daughter of the late Donald Cameron and Sarah Elizabeth (Alexander) Lynch.
Yva had worked for twenty five years for the claims department of Nationwide. She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Gideon Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her great grandchildren.
Surviving are her sons, Richard (Tracy) Cypher of NC and Randal (Linda) Cypher of Butler; 4 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and her sister, Esther Stephens of Aliquippa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Harry D. Cypher who died September 3, 1980 and her second husband, William F. Schoerner who passed February 9, 2004, her daughter, Donna Pattie, a grandson and a sister, Verlee Fischer.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Thursday, June 10, 2021 from 4PM until the time of service at 7PM with Reverend David M. Phillips officiating.
Private interment in the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, Butler, PA.
