Yvonne L. Boice, 57, of Chicora, “went Home to her mansion in Heaven with Jesus” late Wednesday evening, January 9, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot while surrounded by her loving family.
Yvonne was born in Pittsburgh on July 12, 1962. She was the daughter of Joseph Fodi of Pittsburgh and Sandy McClintock.
She was a 1980 graduate of Mars High School. In her earlier years Yvonne had worked for A.T.S. in Butler. She attended the Chicora Alliance Church. She enjoyed taking photos, because she loved looking back on good family memories. Yvonne was the CEO and co-owner, along with her husband, Scott, of Boice Builders in Chicora. Most important to Yvonne was taking care of her family. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. Yvonne’s life epitomized the scriptures found in Proverbs 31.
In addition to her father, Yvonne is survived by her husband, Scott L. Boice, whom she married in Chicora on May 4, 1985. Also surviving are two daughters, Carley S. Boice and Erika L. Boice, both of Chicora; a “special daughter,” Sally Shannon, of Dallas, TX; her mother-in-law, Nancy Boice of Chicora, as well as a brother-in-law, a sister-in-law, and number of nieces and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Francis Fodi and her father-in-law, Kenneth Boice.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home of Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 12 – 3 and 5 – 8 p.m. Saturday and from 1 – 3 p.m. Sunday. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home with the Rev. Mark Wallace, pastor of the Chicora Alliance Church, officiating. A funeral dinner will follow at the Chicora Alliance Church. Interment will be at St. John Reformed Church Cemetery, Chicora.
