1st Sergeant Rick W. Dodson, 66, of Butler passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2026. He was born in St. Joseph, MD on February 28, 1959, to the late RA and Marion Dodson.
Rick honorably served in the U.S. Army for over 20 years and retired as an E-9 First Sergeant. He was a gun enthusiast and a member of the NRA. Rick enjoyed RV traveling; he was a fly fisherman and master scuba diver.
Rick was known for being kind, reliable, generous, competitive and athletic. He was the beloved husband of Karan (Burch) Dodson, since their marriage 33 years ago; father of Michael Dodson, Candice Hudson and Robert Wrobel; grandfather of Arianna, Adylyn, Wesley, Avielle and Dash.
