The Pennsylvania Turnpike’s Butler Valley interchange will be partially closed this weekend.
Drivers will still be able to exit at the interchange- which is exit 39- but not enter where they usually would along Route 8.
The closure will be in effect from 9 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.
The turnpike commission says the closure is needed for crews to repair the ramps to the interchange. Drivers trying to enter the Butler Valley interchange will be detoured to different interchanges.
Recommended detours are as follows:
EASTBOUND TRAFFIC trying to enter at Butler Valley Interchange will follow this detour:
State Route 8 north to State Route 910 east and left onto Freeport Road to enter the Turnpike at Allegheny Valley Interchange, Exit 48. Follow signs to Harrisburg and East.
WESTBOUND TRAFFIC trying to enter at Butler Valley Interchange will follow this detour:
State Route 8 north to State Route 228 west to I-79 south to enter the Turnpike at the Cranberry Interchange, Exit 28. Follow signs to Ohio and West.
