A Butler woman was arrested after she allegedly fired a gun into the air on Tuesday.
Butler City Police believe 25-year-old Brittany Green was under the influence of alcohol about 2 a.m. when she fired a shot from a 9 mm semi automatic handgun.
“Butler City police officers heard a gunshot while on patrol,” according to a press release from police Chief Bob O’Neill.
The incident happened outside her home on the 300 block of West Diamond Street. When police went to investigate, they allegedly found Green and three others on the home’s porch. Police believe Green fired the gun following a verbal argument.
“Officers saw a live 9mm round sitting on the ground in front of where Green was standing. They removed a 9mm semi automatic handgun from her,” according to police.
No one was hurt.
Green was taken into custody and transported to the Butler County Prison.
