The Pittsburgh Steelers defeated the Los Angeles Rams 17-12 Sunday in a defensive battle at Heinz Field. It was the Steelers fourth win in a row as they improved to 5-4 overall.
The game featured two fumble returns for a touchdown for each team and a safety by the Rams. The Steelers had the only offensive touchdown when Mason Rudolph hit James Washington for a three-yard touchdown in the first quarter. Chris Boswell hit a 33-yard field goal in the fourth quarter.
The Steelers defense held the Rams to 1-of-14 on third down conversions. They picked off Los Angeles quarterback Jared Goff twice and sacked him four times. Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick had a 43-yard fumble return in the second quarter and intercepted a pass to close the victory.
The Steelers visit the Cleveland Browns in a Thursday Night Football match-up this week.

–The New York Jets defeated the New York Giants 34-27.
