A longtime local business entrepreneur has passed away.
George Kennedy Kerr Sr. was an army veteran. He died peacefully on Sunday at the VA Butler Health Care Community Living Center, according to his obituary.
After the army, Kerr worked for his uncle RW McDonald during the day and spent evenings installing TV antennas on local rooftops. He went on to found several local companies including Kerr’s Furniture Showrooms, several cable TV systems, mobile home sales centers, and car dealerships. He also served on several local boards of directors.
