The Mars Area School District continues to seek input as they search for a new top administrator.
The district is encouraging all members of the Mars community to attend a Superintendent Search Focus Group Discussion from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mars Area High School LGI room.
The district’s search consultant will facilitate a group conversation dealing with key issues and determine what strengths and skills the next superintendent will need to have. Members of the Mars School Board will not be in attendance however they will receive a report of the results.
Similar focus group discussions have been taking place with Mars school administrators, faculty, and support staff members. The contract of current Mars Superintendent Dr. Wesley Shipley will expire at the end of June.
