Governor Tom Wolf has extended his Stay at Home order through the end of next month.
In addition to the new date of April 30th for Butler and 25 other counties, Wolf also extended indefinitely his order that all schools and businesses remain closed. A Stay at Home order should not be confused with a demand that people stay inside of their homes. There are many activities that healthy people can do in the outdoors as long as social distancing is maintained.
According to the update state officials provided Monday, there are now 693 more confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Pennsylvania which brings the total number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the state to 4,087.
The latest numbers from the Department of Health show that Butler County has 49 confirmed cases of coronavirus, and that two people have died due to complications from the virus.
Secretary of Health Dr. Rachel Levine reminded state residents to continue to wash their hands with soap and water, and to follow CDC guidelines.
