There was a significant increase in deaths due to COVID-19 in Pennsylvania over the weekend.
There are now 1,112 people who have died due to complications of the virus.
Dr. Rachel Levine spoke Sunday afternoon and said the reason for the increase was due to including probable deaths from COVID-19. “We are reporting an addition 276 deaths from those who have tested positive, and those who are probable positives,” Levine said. “These deaths did not happen overnight. They did not happen in the last 24 hours.”
Pennsylvania now has over 32,000 confirmed cases of COVID-19. There has also been over 126,000 negative tests.
