The state department of health is reporting less than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases again across Pennsylvania today.
888 new cases were announced by officials on Wednesday, bringing the state’s total to 51,845. That marks at least three consecutive days that there have been under 1,000 newly reported cases. There are now over 205,000 negative tests that have been performed in the state.
Also throughout the state, 94 new deaths were announced, bringing the state’s total to 3,106.
Butler County meanwhile saw one new confirmed case of COVID-19.
As of Wednesday afternoon, Butler Memorial Hospital is treating six patients for COVID-19 with one person in the ICU. Butler Health System is observing National Nurses Week and National Hospital Week by thanking all local nurses and other employees for their amazing work.
