A new partnership will allow Slippery Rock University to share a special assistant to the president for diversity and inclusion.
Terrence Mitchell is currently the Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer at Edinboro University but beginning August 10th, he will also work part time at SRU.
Mitchell will help to strengthen SRU’s strategic diversity planning to help all students succeed as well as manage efforts to create a more inclusive environment for all students and employees. Mitchell will also be available as a resource for presidential commissions to coordinate diversity efforts.
Earlier this month, the State System of Higher Education started a process to review possible integration of some schools with SRU and Edinboro one of the partnerships mentioned.
