Three Butler County companies are among the over 600 statewide who have been awarded grant money in order to provide employees with hazard pay for working during the pandemic.
The administration of Governor Tom Wolf has used $50 million from the state’s portion of federal CARES Act money to fund the COVID-19 PA Hazard Pay Grant Program.
Orchards of Saxonburg has been awarded just over $50,000. Concordia at the Orchard will receive just over $35,000. Linda’s Nursing Service will be awarded nearly $12,000 to disperse to their employees.
This hazard pay program was announced by the state Department of Community and Economic Development last month to help front-line workers and had received more than 10,000 applications.
