There will be low flying helicopters around the county as part of routine checks of power lines and gas pipes.
Ike Kelly of the Butler County Regional Airport says his office has fielded concerns from residents who have reported low flying helicopters.
He says you could see helicopters hovering a few hundred feet above the ground over the next few weeks.
“It’s going to be scattered about– it’s been going on for a couple of weeks now,” Kelly said. “It could be for the next two weeks to a month depending on how much work they get done.”
Kelly says if you see helicopters doing something out of the ordinary, you can call the airport at 724-566-6665.
