Slippery Rock University is moving their winter commencement to a virtual ceremony.
SRU sent an email to students yesterday detailing the decision to make the move—saying it was primarily moving to an online commencement because of the restriction of indoor gatherings.
This comes after the spring commencement was also moved to a virtual format due to the pandemic. School officials hope to one day schedule an in-person commencement for students who have graduated over the past year.
