PennDOT officials are touting the success in the development of highly automated vehicles.
“Automated vehicle technology has the potential to make transportation safer, increase mobility, reduced vehicle emission, and provide new vehicle options for the people of the Commonwealth,” state Transportation Secretary Yassmin Gramain said.
PennDOT recently joined a nationwide initiative to help improve the safety of automated vehicles and advance testing operations.
The automated vehicle industry has taken off in the Pittsburgh area, led by companies like Argo A.I., Uber, and Aurora.
