Governor Tom Wolf is unveiling a new health care reform plan that he hopes will address accessibility and affordability.
Wolf spoke late last week and said the plan can be broken down into three parts.
“I’m proposing the health reform package, that will make healthcare more affordable. Second, will hold healthcare corporations accountable. And will tackle third, health inequities that pervade our system,” Wolf said.
The first part is the Interagency Health Reform Council, which is an executive order that will find inefficiencies in the system. The next step establishes the Regional Accountable Health Councils; and the third would create the Health Value Commission, which needs to be done through the legislature.
