Two local churches are reaching out to help those in need around our community this weekend.
First Church on East North Street is holding a Winter Coat Distribution on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at their Connection Center. Anyone with a new or gently worn coat to donate for this event can do so at the church office between 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. today.
Also on Saturday, North Street Christian Church is holding a Christmas Closet Children’s Clothing Giveaway from 3 to 6 p.m. on West North Street in Butler. Any child in need will be able to receive clothing and shoes in sizes newborn to Junior XL at no charge. Bags will be provided and all family members are invited to attend but only one adult per family is asked to choose clothing. A community meal will be served from 5 to 6 p.m.
