A month of fundraising activities for breast cancer research at Butler County Community College will continue with the sale of pink ribbons.
BC3’s social awareness club has organized this year’s Project Pink effort during breast cancer awareness month. Ribbons cost $1 and will be displayed in the BC3 Student Success Center.
BC3’s volleyball program normally holds a game dedicated to fundraising for this cause but the team has been temporarily shifted to playing in the spring semester.
BC3 has contributed over $19,000 over the past decade, including over $3,000 last year, to the Side-Out Foundation charity that raises awareness and funds treatment of breast cancer.
Plastic pink donation buckets are located in the BC3 Bookstore as well as the Heaton Family Learning Commons. The community is invited to donate to the cause through the Side-Out Foundation website.
