Local pet owners are encouraged to take advantage of an opportunity for vaccinations and microchipping this weekend.
The Butler County Humane Society is holding a low-cost clinic on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Alameda Park Garage.
Rabies vaccinations are $10 and microchipping with lifetime registration is $25. Vaccine packages specific to dogs and cats are available at special clinic pricing but only cash or cards will be accepted.
Registration for another event at Alameda Park on Saturday, the annual Monster Mile Family Walk sponsored by the Butler County Parks and Recreation Department, is full and no event day registrations will be available.
