A divided U.S. Supreme Court has upheld a Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruling that will allow ballots to be counted as late as November 6th.
Meanwhile, Governor Tom Wolf was hoping to reach an agreement with Republicans in the house to allow for pre-canvassing of the mail-in ballots before Election Day. He’s not optimistic that will happen.
“We had conversations, and they didn’t lead anywhere. I understand the house Republicans put out a press release saying that’s dead, so I’m taking them at their word,” Wolf said.
The house and senate are both in session this week, so Wolf is still holding out hope they may be able to reach an agreement.
