Margaret “Peggy” Hankey, 85, of Butler, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Orchards of Saxonburg.
She was born April 5, 1935 in Butler, the daughter of the late Claude and Armella (Osche) Ramsey.
Peggy was a member of St. Paul’s Roman Catholic Church. She was also a member of the Butler Elks #170. She enjoyed camping, bus trips, playing cards and most of all spending time with her family and friends.
Surviving are her daughter, Christine Scott of Butler; 2 granddaughters and their husbands, Jennifer (Curtis) Jones of Slippery Rock and Michelle (Adam) Walker of Butler; 4 great grandchildren, Landon, Kenna and Trenton Jones and Noah Walker; sister in law, Judith Hankey of Butler; several nieces, nephews and many extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Eugene Hankey, who passed away on August 23, 2008, a daughter, Connie Hankey, a son in law, Bill Scott, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Friends will be received at Young Funeral Home, Ltd., 127 W. Jefferson St., Butler, on Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 1-3PM & 5PM until the time of service at 7PM with Pastor Ben Oesterling officiating.
Private interment in the Calvary Cemetery.
