Mars Area School District has released the results of a recent fundraiser for charity.
Mars students participating in the annual Hats for Heroes fundraiser last Friday were able to raise over $8,000 to benefit Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Students made donations to the cause of breast cancer research in return for the opportunity to wear a hat in school. Donations will continue to be accepted online through Friday.
All students and staff were also encouraged to wear pink as part of a District-wide “Pink-Out” to raise awareness for this cause.
