There were 66 new cases of COVID-19 reported for Butler County Friday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health.
That comes with 93 negative test results, giving the most recent report a 41.5 percent positivity rate.
As of Friday morning, the Butler Health System is reporting that Butler Memorial Hospital is treating 22 patients for the coronavirus, which is four more people than Wednesday, with six people in the ICU. BHS also reported three deaths to the state over the past couple of days with two reported on Wednesday and one reported on Thursday.
Overall, the state added 3,384 new positive cases, which is the first time there has ever been over 3,000 cases in a day for Pennsylvania. An additional 38 deaths were reported by the Department of Health, along with 17,000 negative test results.
