Bow hunters across the state are getting ready for an historic opportunity this weekend.
According to the Pennsylvania Game Commission, Sunday will be the first time archery deer hunting has been permitted on a Sunday in state history.
Bear hunters will be able to venture out next Sunday, November 22nd to hunt bear for the first time on a Sunday. The Sunday after, November 29th will be the first time deer will be permitted to be hunted with firearms on a Sunday.
Archery season will continue through November 20th followed by late archery deer season runs December 26 through January 18.
