Butler County residents are no longer being asked to conserve water due to drought conditions.
After dry weather for a large portion of the summer, the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection had issued water use restrictions for parts of Western Pennsylvania.
According to Pennsylvania American Water, the DEP lifted those restrictions earlier this week so customers in Butler County along with neighboring Armstrong and Clarion counties can resume normal water use.
Some other counties will remain under drought watch so those residents are asked to continue conserving water for the time being.
