Buddy D. “Bud” Schoch, 79, of Butler, Pennsylvania, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at the Butler VA Community Living Center, Butler, PA.
Buddy was born September 14, 1941 in Oil City, PA to the late Dwight Schoch and Mary Louise (Scannell) Schoch.
He worked for the CIA in Athens, Greece and later became a Salesman for Luebbe Sales, retiring in 2003.
Buddy enjoyed playing football and golf.
He is survived by his loving spouse, Donna “Lynn” Schoch, who he married on April 19, 1975: one son, Jeffrey D. Schoch of Corona, CA; one grandchild, Jake A. Schoch of Corona, CA; one sister-in-law, Deborah Schoch of Guys Mills, PA; one niece, Lisa Velozquez of Newville, PA; one great niece, Chrissy M. Ford of Pittsburgh, PA; four nephews, Curt Ford of Pittsburgh, PA, Josh Ford of Athens, OH, Art Hollabaugh of Cochranton, PA, and Jason Hollabaugh of Guys Mills, PA.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Alvin E. Schoch and Lenwood D. Schoch along with his sister, Ada Jane Smith.
Friends will be received at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA. on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m and 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Robert Edmundson, officiating.
Military Honors will be provided by the Officers and Members of the American Legion Post #117 of Butler, American Legion Post #778 of Lyndora, and the VFW Post #249 of Butler following the funeral.
Memorials donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
Due to Covid-19 State Guidelines, visitors are required to supply their own and to wear a facial covering along with maintaining social distancing. Groups are limited to 25 people.
