Charges have been filed in connection with a fatal crash that occurred in Middlesex Township last May.
According to a criminal complaint filed by Middlesex Township Police, 37-year-old Diane Read of Valencia has been charged after her vehicle drove into the CoGo’s convenience store on Route 8 shortly after midnight on May 17th.
The car was carrying three motorists and was traveling on Dwellington Road before crossing Route 8 and crashing into the store. Passenger Patricia Collins was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital for treatment of trauma injuries where she later died. A second passenger, Kimberly Young, who was in the front seat, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Read also required medical treatment and allegedly admitted to medics that she had been using alcohol. She will face charges including Felony Homicide by Vehicle While Under the Influence.
