James J. “Jimmy” Taylor, 44, of Karns City, Brady’s Bend Twp., Armstrong Co., passed away Monday morning, December 28, 2020 at Montefiore Hospital in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.
James was born in Pittsburgh on June 28, 1976. He was the son of James B. and Linda J. Strychalski Taylor of Valencia.
He was a 1994 graduate of Mars High School and had been employed as a foreman by Shields Paving in Bakerstown for more than 20 years. Jimmy was a talented carpenter and enjoyed construction and building. He enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. He was a member of the Chicora Moose Lodge and enjoyed fishing. Jimmy was a wonderful husband and father and his kids were his pride and joy.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy is survived by his wife, Tricia A. Farmery Taylor, whom he married in Rochester Mills on September 11, 1999. Also surviving are his children, Aaron J. and Nicole E. Taylor, both at home; his brother and sister-in-law, Jeff and Amanda Taylor of Chicora; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dwight and Shirley Farmery of Marion Center; his nieces and nephews, Camden, Jase, Gordon, Abigail, Susannah, Autumn, Rachel, and Daniel; his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Penny and Joseph Birch of Butler, Tammy and Gordon McKibben of Maryland, as well as a number aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, a number of uncles, and a cousin.
Friends will be received at the Hile Funeral Home Chicora, 339 Chicora Fenelton Rd., Chicora, from 2 – 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) (Covid 19 protocols). A funeral service will follow from the funeral home at 6:00 p.m. with the Rev. Floyd Barnhart, a United Methodist pastor, officiating.
