Sandra Kay “Sandie” Henricks, 74, of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, passed away on December 31, 2020 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.
She was born February 6, 1946 in Prospect, Pennsylvania to the late Howard Merle McKinnis and the late Helen Barnhart.
In her earlier years, Sandie worked for Bobbie Brooks in Butler, PA. She was a member of Community Alliance Church. Sandie enjoyed reading, crocheting, music, her friends and family, and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
Sandie is survived by her husband, Robert T. Henricks, who she married on September 21, 1974; two daughters, Rebekah “Beckie” Duncan and her husband Jay of Slippery Rock, PA, Malynda Bortz of Prospect, PA; three grandchildren, Robby Warren, Jaylynn Warren, Tristen Bortz; two sisters, Edna Mae Knauer of Butler, PA, Bonnie Bolten and her husband Crawford of Butler, PA; and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five sisters, Betty Allison Ruth Sherman, June Reed, Faye King, and Ruby Brown, one brother Howard “Pete” McKinnis; one son-in-law, Bill Bortz, Jr.
Friends will be received Tuesday, January 5, 2021 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Thompson – Miller Funeral Home, Inc., 124 East North Street Butler, PA.
A private funeral will be held for the family with her nephew Pastor David Smith, officiating.
Private burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may made to Camp Lutherlyn 510 Dick Rd., Prospect, PA 16052.
Due to Covid-19 State Guidelines, visitors are required to supply their own and to wear a facial masks and adhere to social distancing. Groups are limited to 25 people inside.
